Summer of Love!!!

The challenge at Creating with Paper and More...

It's a word challenge!!
One of these words, at least, must be used in the journaling.

I used this "Summer of Love" paper for a peace-themed layout about lunch at the Woodstock Cafe, a 60s themed sub shop in Vermilion Ohio. The paper alone evokes the feel of the cafe, I added some peace sign stickers, and chalked a wooden camera for a tie dyed look.

June challenge at Cocoa Daisy

The challenge was to scrapbook a not-so-great photo.
My subjects look miserable in this picture, even though we had a good time at my cousin's campaign kick-start event.

Sketch at C'est Magnifique, June..."2014"

the June Sketch at C'est Magnifique..

I scrapbooked a photostrip from my daughter's 2014 Senior Dinner Dance. The small little photos really need a big circle or something to anchor them and show them off, so I placed them on a doily and a large flower (cut in half). Pages come together so easily when using a sketch!

;Lobsta time at BiTTEN bY THE BUG

I have often perused BBTB over the years, but never did a challenge, until now. The lobster challenge was just too fun to pass up!
I am YEARS behind in schrapbboking. I used to go in order, but lately I have been somewhat hodge podge. I saw this challenge and remembered our summer vacation about nine years ago...My entire family went to Put In Bay in Ohio and had just the greatest day. We also had a damn good lunch and some awesome lobster bisque.
I used the FROM MY KITCHEN cartridge, one of my favorites. The lobster, bowl  and spoons, and titles are all from this cartridge.

Had so much fun taking on this challenge!

UPDATE: I won the weekly challenge for this one!!

Using my stamps...finally!

The challenge over at Berry71Bleu...

is stamping!! All you gotta do is use some stamps.

It has been SO LONG since I have done any stamping that most of my stamp pads were all fact, only the black ink pad was working for me. Oh well..gave me a chance to clean out some old supplies. What fun it has been to play with some long-forgotten things!

I used some old Martha Stewart Christmas stamps for both types of trees. Since I had no color pads, I inked on colored papers and cut them out, a look I really like. The title box is a new stamp I got from a Close To My Heart package I recieved. I never used any of these before. Thank you, Berry17, for making my stamp again.
